Band Habits presents Zealous Yen!

We’re back with yet another kick ass night of Rock music!

It’s a little bit bluesy, it’s a little bit grungy, it’s a little bit indie but it’s all Rock ‘n’ Roll!

The line up is:

Zealous Yen – Head lining Band Habits for the second time we have: Your friendly neighborhood alternative rock band, Zealous Yen! A talented 4 piece rock band from London, Awesome song writing and Harmonies but all with a pacey punk rock ethic. Truly a must see. (Copies of their acclaimed debut album ‘Headweight’, will be available to buy).

The Watchmen – The 3 piece rock band from Uxbridge will also be making their second Band Habits appearance. A relatively new Band, they take their ques from The Foo Fighters, and many other straight up Rock bands. They are loud and ready to kick arse. Check them out.

PaperSun (BH newcomers) – Next up we have PaperSun, the 3 piece blues/rock band from Southall. They have loud, melodic guitars and pounding rhythms. Full of energy, they really are great fun to watch.

Jeeps (BH newcomers) – First of all we have Jeeps, a revolving band of musicians fronted by Glen Strachan. whether they are playing mellow acoustic shows or in your face rock shows they always bring their A game. providing you with, both melodic, thoughtful compositions and complete noise rock with a grunge/punk tone. They constantly entertain and innovate.

Hi guys.

I just thought it was about time I did an update on this totally hip ‘n’ happenin’ website of ours. We have started work on our next record! Yes I know we only just released our debut album “Headweight” a couple of months ago (although we still haven’t gotten around to making it straight-forward to purchase online – yet!) but you could think of this as a sort of extension of that album. Heck, it even features the actual song that album was named after.

That’s about all I can tell you at this stage though, other than the fact that it’s a five track EP (with a bonus sixth track like “Salmon Chunks” was on our first EP). In gig-related news, we shall be playing at The Angel in Hayes along with other bands including Jeeps! This will be on Saturday the 25th of this month. Come along – It’s free entry!

The debut album! Recorded between November 2013 to the following summer, this album features ten old and new songs from the Yen library. The title is from a song of the same name, which doesn’t appear on the album but is regularly played at live gigs and is set to appear on the next release. Picking right up from where Headweight left off, this mini-album continues that raw feel but also throws some more experimental tracks into the mix. It’s the first release to feature all four band members with Levi now rooted firmly on the drums, and also features a reworking of Make It Right from the first EP.
